Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge

Animal Kingdom Lodge is one of my favorite Walt Disney World hotels. I have stayed there several times with my family, it is my 9 years old favorite Disney hotel at the moment. I was lucky enough to stay there once again for the Pure Magic Vacations Agent Education program a couple weeks ago.

Here are some photos from around the hotel.

Some rooms have a savanna view but for those rooms that do not overlook at the savanna there are many areas around the resort to view animals.

Here are a few photos of the pool at Jambo House. I love this pool area because it is so lush and secluded.

Disney`s Animal Kingdom Lodge has two building, Jambo House and Kidani Village. Kidani Village is part of Disney Vacation Club, it includes studios, 1, 2 and 3 bedroom villas. At Jambo House only one floor has Disney Vacation Club villas. I enjoy both buildings but prefer Jambo House.

My kids love finding all the different animals at this resort. There is a handy list with pictures left in each room to keep track of which animals you have already seen.

I love Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge because it is so unique. I would stay here and even visit the theme parks less because there is so much to do and see at the hotel itself, it is also a great option for a pre-cruise stay. There are two pools and they are both amazing, with water-slides. My kids would tell you the slide at Kidani Village is better then the Jambo House slide but I think everyone needs to do both and decide for themselves :)

The counter service at Jambo House, The Mara, is one of my favorite counter service restaurants on site, there are options for everyone and I have always enjoyed it. Get the Bounty Platter for breakfast, you will not be disappointed!

The distance is a little further from Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios and Epcot so prepare yourself for a little longer bus ride but in my opinion well worth it.
